Something Healthy To Satisfy Every Crisp Lover: Chickpea Chips

01:00:00

This is such an easy recipe that I had to seriously think over whether to post it or not. BUT to quote every teenager in 2011..."yolo". Since I've discovered this recipe I have been making big batches of it every couple of weeks. I am someone who LOVES crisps so i'm quite chipper that i've found an alternate snack which is quite similar, yet so much healthier.

YOU WILL NEED
  • Chickpeas (the amount doesn't really matter, make whatever you feel like making)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
What to do..
1. Preheat the oven to 180'c and line a tray with bake paper.

2. Drain the chickpeas from their cans and try and dry them as much as you can (I used a paper towel) as the dryer they are the quicker they'll roast. Once done place in a bowl of some sorts.

3. Add a little bit of olive oil, just enough to coat the chickpeas, so probably about 1-2 teaspoons. Once done give a little mix with a spoon and then pop onto bake tray. Once on bake tray place in the oven for 30 minutes.
4. Once 30 minutes is up check on the chickpeas and see how brown and crisp they are. The goal is to be really golden. Place back in oven for additional time until they crisp on up

5. Once golden and crisp add a little bit of salt and ENJOY. For a bit of fun you can add different spices too.

The great thing about these chickpea chips is that they last for agesss so feel free to make a big batch and keep in an airtight container.

Hope you all are having a splendid Monday so far!
