After trialing the Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' foundation and not loving it I went "nup, not trying this brand again for foundation". It was only until I saw people from a beauty facebook group constantly raving on about this foundation that I considered giving Rimmel another shot. You may have seen me mention this in my April favourites but I thought it was time to give it a proper review.

Packaging...
It doesn't look high end but it certainly has better packaging than a lot of drugstore brands. Comes with a pump which distributes a perfect amount of foundation needed. Also it smells really nice? Not essential, but hey, it's a nice touch.

Texture and how it applies...
As this is a full coverage foundation it's a thicker formulation. Despite being thicker it applies really easily and I don't have to buff it into the skin like other foundations e.g Nars 'Sheer Glow.'.

Coverage and finish...
Amazing coverage. Usually i'm not a fan of full coverage foundations but I like this one because it gives such an airbrushed finish. I also like this foundation because it doesn't look cakey which is hard for a full coverage foundation to manage. I'd say it's a  semi matte finish. Photos below show the difference.
Longevity...
Being a nurse, I need a foundation that's going to last me the whole of my 8 hour shift, hence why I was so adamant about finding a longwearing foundation. Can confirm that this lasts the whole shift! On thing I would say is that after awhile the oilyness in my T-zone does peak through so I have to powder it down, but that's only complaint. Now for work or long days this is my go-to foundation because I know that it will last longer than any other base.
