Going back through travel photos is fraught with danger, it will flood you with memories of incredible times passed. I'm a big ole' sook when it comes to reminiscing the past..I've always been super sentimental.

A place that makes me suuuper duper reminiscent is London. The first time I flew the 24 hour flight to get there I was a bright eyed 18 year old girl excited to see somewhere outside Australia. I instantly fell in love with the city and in no time felt like a local zipping around on the tube and even having my own Boots card. After spending a few months there I came back to Australia and instantly started planning my next trip. I went back the following year (after saving every penny) and did house sitting in Putney with a best friend. I started to really image living a life there - and it excited me. Since then I went back the following year for some more Europe travels. A part of my heart belongs to London and I so wish to move there one day. For now i'm saving up in hopes that one day in the future I can move there.

So here are some of my photos that I was looking at which made me go "ahh London, I love and miss you".

"OH WOW THANK-YOU" was the first thing I said after being gifted a voucher a Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Ritz. Then it dawned on me: what the hell am I going to wear?!

After looking through multiple blogs I kinda got an idea of what would be appropriate and what wouldn't be. While I was in Paris I picked up this cute little number from Zara.
Seeing as it was Winter I kinda had to wear tights and a big ole coat but I think it all tied in together nicely.

ALSO want me to let you in on a secret?......my heels are from Primark! I bet if staff got word that I was wearing Primark heels I wouldn't have been allowed in. I mean, it is The Ritz after all. 
After hopping off the tube at Green Park we made our way to The Ritz. Upon entrance we had lovely
concierge that guided us to the main hall where the afternoon tea would take place. We put our coats in the coat room and then were lead to our seats in the dining area.

My eyes were like the heart eyed emoji. I was trying to keep my cool but everything was so grand and pretty. There was also a woman playing the piano beautifully. On top of that the waiters were mostly Italian and had gorgeous accents that made me swoon. Don't worry guys, I kept my cool.

They promptly brought over the high tea stand which was littered with sandwiches, scones, and my favourite: desserts. They also brought over silver tea pots filled with our tea of choice (Earl Grey, mmm). In the photo above I am seen pouring my own tea but in reality 9 times out of 10 they would come over and top it up for me. OH and not to forget they also gave us our champagne which was ace.
After eating multiple sandwiches, scones and desserts I was done.
........well, that's what I thought. 
A waiter came around with a trolley filled with various cakes. He recommended we try the chocolate hazelnut cake. Um..yeah..a girl can't say no to that. It was delicious and I sighed relief at the fact that I wasn't wearing a pair of tight jeans.

After we finished up our slices of cake we got up, thanked our waiters, collected our coats and were on our way. It was a beautiful experience but I probably wouldn't do again, but was glad to have done it to say "I have had afternoon tea at The Ritz".

I did not fall off the face of earth, but I did slightly abandon this blog. Not intentionally though! My last update was on "London life" and then after that things got super busy. My mum came over and we went to Paris, South of France, Munich, Oslo, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Edinburgh and back to London. It was a very hectic month but I saw so many beautiful places so I have no regrets in the slightest.

After staying in the English countryside with my aunt for two weeks I headed to Rome to visit one of my best friends. I was there for about a week and really enjoyed seeing my friend. I must admit: I'm not a massive fan of Rome. It's quite a beautiful city but because I'd been previously and had done all the touristy things, there wasn't too much else to do. Of course simply wandering around the city was nice I just didn't have much to do. The best part of the trip was riding on the back of my friends scooter through the city..I felt as if I was in the Lizzie McGuire movie and the song "why not" was playing in my head the entire time. Also the food - I can't forget the food - was incredible.

I apologise for the title, I was trying to be witty and completely missed the mark. But as it suggests..I am currently traveling! Ever since my first trip to Europe I've been in a constant state of nostalgia. Whenever an assignment would get the best of me I would resort to viewing my travel photos and going back to Europe (well, mentally anyway). It took me less than a year after my first trip to start planning my next one. I kept justifying it as 'my treat for getting through the first year of university' when really I (and everyone else) knew that I just wanted to go back because I loved it so damn much.
